From the DA's office to a West Bank classroom.
I have always had an interest, even since childhood, in the Middle East and specifically the Holy Land. While I was working as an Assistant District Attorney in Newnan, Georgia, I felt God moving in my heart powerfully with a love and concern for the Arab people. I didn’t know what to make of it at first, but I became sure down deep in my soul that He was directing me to leave my job, leave everything, and give my life to helping in this region of the world. Ever since that first step of faith to come to JSB, I’ve felt more fulfilled, more satisfied, and more joyful than I’ve ever felt in my life.
The most rewarding part of this job is seeing the change that can take place in a student’s life when they are surrounded by the community at JSB. I love seeing students learn, gain confidence, deepen their critical thinking skills, and figure out creative ways to solve problems. All of these things happen at JSB, but the most rewarding thing that happens here is when their character develops and they grow into a virtuous person.
